2017 SWS Dubai Kartdrome champion Anjum Shaikh added another Senior trophy to his collection, getting a perfect start to the new season.

Over the next two races Shaikh would find it more difficult, conceding Race One to Maz Nawaz by 0.199 seconds and then Race Two was won by Romaldo Labrooy in the final laps, beating Shaikh to the finish line by two tenths of a second.

Overall consistency prevailed and, despite not winning a race, a pair of second place finishes earned Anjum Shaikh 72 points and a narrow win over Romaldo Labrooy and Maz Nawaz, both tallying up 71 points on the night.  Labrooy’s better qualifying position handed him the second-place trophy while Nawaz had to settle for third.
