Labrooy got everything started for the Dubai Falcons by securing the fastest lap in qualifying on the Drop Circuit at Dubai Kartdrome, topping the grid with a best lap time of 58.753.

Shaikh and Labrooy kept up the pressure, controlling the race from pole position and holding off their main rivals, SLD Racing and Al Ain Falcons Racing Team.  After 129 laps and over two hours of endurance racing, Labrooy finished what he started, nabbing the chequered flag for the win, crossing the finish line 7.483 ahead of SLD Racing.

Saeed Al Mehairi of Al Ain Falcons Racing Team had the fastest lap of the day, dipping below 58 seconds with a 57.814 scorcher but, by the end of the night, his team had to settle for third-place.

Dubai Kartdrome Manager David Bright remarked, “Congratulations to Dubai Falcons for another quality win.  I’d also give special mention to the only solo driver, Callum Mitchel, who drove his car all the way from Oman to be here, raced for over two hours straight and then scored an impressive eighth place!”

“The Spirit of the Event Award goes to Martin Baerschmidt and his son Peter from EDGE racing, as it was their first-time endurance kart racing and they did very well.” Bright added.

The third and final round of the Summer Enduro Cup takes will decide the championship winners next Monday night, 13 August 2018 at Dubai Kartdorme.

Championship prizes will be provided by Park Inn by Radisson in MotorCity and George Gibbons Motorsport (GGM).  The highest placed non-license holding team gets a test day with GGM.
