Dubai, UAE, 8 January 2020: Crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of fifty high-performance race cars rolling down the main boulevard in MotorCity on Wednesday night. The supercars, led by an honour guard of Dubai Police, parked at First Avenue Mall for race fans to take photos and get driver autographs.
The MotorCity Supercar Parade marked the official start of activities for the 15th edition of the Hankook 24H Dubai, which thunders into action at Dubai Autodrome on Friday (10 January) at 15.00.
An Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio safety car, courtesy of National Auto and FCA, escorted the supercars around the circuit at Dubai Autodrome at then into MotorCity. The lead contingent of vehicles was comprised of four Dubai Police cars and a stunning W Motors Fenyr Supersport.
The dignitary group was followed by the Hanook 24H Dubai competitors, a striking mix of high-performance GTs, Touring Cars and 24H Dubai specials. Visitors were treated to race car spectacle on the quiet roads of MotorCity that is normally reserved for the race track. Drivers were on hand to meet with fans, sign autographs and pose for photographs.
Track action starts at 9.00 on Thursday (9 January) with practice and qualifying, followed by the main race on Friday, starting at 15.00.
Entry into the Grandstand and Race Paddock is free for spectators, offering a unique first-hand experience with one of the largest endurance races in the world. Two fan zones will offer car displays, activities, food trucks and race merchandise.
After 24 hours of fierce track battles, the winners will be crowned during the famous 24H Dubai Camel Procession on Saturday (11 January).
