Dubai, UAE. 25 February 2018: With nine different drivers having stood on the top step of the podium throughout the season, the FIA F4UAE Championship will be settled this weekend (2-3 March) on the 5.39-kilometre Grand Prix Circuit at Dubai Autodrome.

In this final round shootout, Dragon Motopark F4’s Charles Weerts (#88) and Rasgaira Motorsports/US Racing’s David Schumacher (#27) are just 13-points apart in the championship standings.
Weerts currently leads the driver’s championship on 277 points, with Schumacher in second place on 264. Victory at Dubai Autodrome will give either driver their first crown in open-wheel racing.

“To have the F4UAE title being decided in Dubai between two very fast and committed drivers will be very exciting for the championship,” said Mohammed Ben Sulayem, President of the ATCUAE, Chairman of the Emirates Motor Sport Federation and FIA Vice President for Sport.

“It has been an exciting season with so many different young race winners getting their first taste of victory here in the Middle East, and many international teams joining us to help the championship to grow. Congratulations to all the drivers who have won so far and we wish everyone a successful event in Dubai at the final round.”
In the Teams Championship, SILBERPEFEIL Energy Dubai leads by 29 points over Dragon Motopark F4, with both in contention to take that title this weekend.

The thrilling Grand Finale of F4UAE will feature alongside five other race series over the weekend, including the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East, which will also be the last round for the Italian supercar series.
The Bahrain Superbike Championship is set to return, along with rounds of the NGK Racing Series, UAE Sportbike Championship and Radical ME Cup.
Track action starts at 08.45 on Friday and continues until 18.00 on Saturday. The Grandstand and Race Paddock areas offer free entry for spectators.
