Dubai, UAE, 12 February 2018: Federico Al Rifai and Oscar Lambert delivered outstanding drives in Round Two of the Emirates Schools Karting Championship (ESKC) to seize their second win in a row for Kings Dubai at Dubai Kartdrome on Sunday night (11 February). Maximillian Dexter and Zachary Stimpson of NASS Nomad Team earned a maiden class victory.
The night started well for Swiss International Scientific School (SWISS) Team 2, with Adam Al Azhari clocking in the quickest lap time of Heat One at 1:19.068, beating out Stimpson of NASS Nomad Team by sixth tenths of a second.
Then Kings Dubai dominated the next two heats, with Lambert and Al Rifai each grabbing a win, to take control of the contest. SWISS Team 2 bounced back in the final heat, with Al Azhari winning again.
After the four time-trial heats were calculated, Federico Al Rifai and Oscar Lambert of Kings Dubai were declared the ESKC Junior Round Two winners. Even without his teammate, Dara Stankova, for Round Two, Adam Al Azhari manged to get SWISS Team 2 into second place. The third spot on the podium went to SWISS Team 3, with Keanu Al Azhari also doing a solo drive for the night.
After two rounds, Kings Dubai has 68 ESKC championship points and maintains an eight point gap over SWISS Team 2.
In the Nomad category, for teams with drivers from different schools, Maximillian Dexter and Zachary Stimpson of NASS Nomad Team chalked up a first win and they now stand tied in the championship with Andrey Ouziel, Seb Murray and Edoardo Tiralosi of All Stars, with both teams on 49 points.
Round Three for the ESKC Juniors will take place on Monday, 26 February at Dubai Kartdrome.
