DRAGON RACING 88 TO ESTABLISH NEW HEADQUARTERS AT DUBAI AUTODROME
New Emirates Motorsports Academy to open

Dubai, UAE, 16 March 2017: Internationally renowned Dragon Racing is set to take over a commercial unit at Dubai Autodrome to set up their new GCC headquarters, which will include the establishment of the Emirates Motorsports Academy to provide race licenses to aspiring race competitors.

Starting in April 2017, Dragon Racing 88 will move into a 23,000 square foot building formally known as “Race School 2”, located next to the Dubai Autodrome Welcome Centre at the heart of the circuit.  The facility contains office space as well as a race specification workshop.

The headquarters and academy will complement the Motorsport Business Park, which is currently under construction nearby.  Together these areas will comprise a new hub for motorsport in the UAE.

Owner of Dragon Racing 88, Leon Price said, “Dragon Racing 88 has always seen Dubai Autodrome as its home circuit. We are therefore thrilled to be making this an official reality by occupying the former ‘Race School 2’ building next to the Welcome Centre, within the circuit. Our new offices and workshop will be fitted out to the highest specification in order to raise the bar for our motorsport and corporate clients.”

“As Dragon grows its international strategy, it has become imperative to house all staff members under one roof, and what better place to do this than at one of the world’s best motorsport facilities”

Dubai Autodrome General Manager, Richard Birch added, “Dragon Racing and Dubai Autodrome have a long and proud history of partnerships in various forms. It’s our short and long term strategy to provide commercial rental opportunities within our venue in order to help motorsport and motoring businesses thrive in Dubai.”

“We look forward to developing our strategic partnership with Dragon even further in the coming years.”
