SWS Senior Cup & Masters

Hussain Umid Ali couldn’t quite find the pace early on but, once he got going, the Emirati was unstoppable.

Romaldo Labrooy was the early pacesetter, taking the top qualifying spot with a best lap time of 1:11.119, which was 0.435 seconds clear of his closest rival, Maz Nawaz.  Ali was 0.457 seconds off the top mark, earning him P4 for his efforts.

After that Ali took control of the contest and went on to prevail in the next two races.  He managed to wrestle two victories over Labrooy, each by less than two tenths of a second.

When the final points were calculated, Hussain Umid Ali was the clear winner with a perfect score of 80 points.  Romaldo Labrooy put in a good fight but had to settle for second-place with 72 points.  Last round’s winner Ahmed Al Hammadi took the remaining step on the podium on 63 points.

The Emirati claimed his fourth Masters win for this year with 49 points on the night, while Carsten Winter chased up second-place with 39 points.  Paul Sebright secured third-place on 33 points.
