It was a near perfect performance on the night by Dojomoto driver Maz Nawaz.  He just missed the mark in qualifying, falling 0.093 seconds off the pace of teammate Anjum Shaikh, who claimed the best lap time of 1:11.878.

After that is was all Nawaz; he went on to take both heats and claimed the full 80 points to take the top step of the SWS Senior Cup podium.   Ramin Arnecke took home second place silverware on 67 points and Anjum Shaikh claimed third with 66 points.

Nawaz speculated that he was lucky to get the second heat win while Shaikh was tangled up with the drivers behind.  He said, “The only threat was going to be Anjum, but by the time he overtook Al Hammadi and Ramin, it was too late.”
