Dubai, UAE, November 9th 2006: Green Community will once more be ringing with the sound of festive bells and shimmering with seasonal lights, as The Market continues its memorable annual get-together.

This year’s theme, “Festive Season Around the World” is stretched over 3 weeks, bringing together American, Asian and European Weeks, giving the chance for The Market visitors to share with their children traditions practiced in these regions and experience various other customs from around the world.

The festive season will take off on 1st December with a Tree Lighting Ceremony, where all visitors will be gathered around a 25-foot high feature tree that will be lit by a child randomly chosen by Santa, to the tunes of the Dubai Harmony Choir’s festive carols.

Visitors waiting for Santa to arrive by boat will be welcomed by hot chocolate drinks and season’s cookies while enjoying a Bazaar of delightful handmade artifacts organized by ARTE.

The 3 week “Festive Season Around The World” will feature exciting activities, promotions and prizes including arts & craft creations, meet & greet Santa, lantern making contests, gift exchanges and much more. In addition, visitors to The Market will be given the chance to win AED 20,000 worth of gift vouchers with every purchase of AED 200 at any of The Market’s stores. A raffle ticket will be given to enter 5 consecutive draws from December 22nd to 25th, with a AED 10,000 jackpot draw on 26th.

Parents and children are all invited to participate in this truly amazing event, where each week is themed from a continent and everyone can learn about various festive season traditions from around the world.
