Dubai, UAE, November 7th, 2006: Union Properties’ unique development MotorCity and Dubai Autodrome, the region's first fully integrated motor sport facility, announced their title sponsorship agreement for the final race of the 2006 FIA GT Championship to be held in Dubai Autodrome on the 17th and 18th November.

This will be the second consecutive year that MotorCity takes on the mantle as title sponsor for Dubai’s round of the 2006 FIA GT Championship. MotorCity GT 500 of Dubai will be organised under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council. Simon Azzam, CEO of Union Properties, said, ”Our title sponsorship for the MotorCity GT 500 is a natural extension of Union Properties’ commitment to encourage motor racing in the UAE as well as to provide the much needed support for young ambitions in the country.”

One of the most anticipated events in the UAE racing calendar, the MotorCity GT 500 Dubai Championship will feature a dazzling line-up of drivers and racing cars. Among the top names are the Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Porsche. The 5.39 km FIA sanctioned circuit of the Dubai Autodrome will test the skills of the world's best race drivers as they compete in the three-day ultimate round of the 2006 FIA GT Championship.
